The American Neptune - Quaterly Journal of maritime history that publishes articles on a variety of nautical topics in American history. Tables of contents for some issues can be viewed online, but full text of articles requires purchase.

Isle of Tortuga - Formerly the "Homepage Wastrel: Piracy," this site has tons of information

John's Nautical and Boatbuilding Page - Has tons of links to sources for nautical literature and a wide variety of other maritime topics.

Pirate's Cove - An excellent site. Not only does it have excellent information about piracy, but the author also has an excellent philosophy about nautical archaeology.

Shanties and Sailor Songs - It's difficult to drink grog with pirates if you don't know their songs. Search an extensive database of shanties from Europe and North America.

Cutthroats - A game based site. Has Music to download as well as over two hundred avatars for forum use. We thank them for the music here on The FIST's web home.

More Shanties and Sailor Songs  -  Provided by our member Hawk in his quest for real naval history. Enjoy.

Jolly Roger  -  With thousands of literary, artistic, and technological tributes to the Great Books, and with thousands of fellow seafarers visiting this bustling portal each day, boundless treasures are to be had by all brave sailors of the soul! Keep an even keel, and the classics shall be yers!

Schoonerman - Wow! A nautical glossary and any other info on the Schooner. Nice Site!

Pirate Documents - A site that has authentic style documents from the 1700's and 1800's. From Letters of marque to ship crew advertisements. Very Nice!
